The Distinguished Young Woman of Chewelah for 2019 is Ursula Bakken, from Chewelah.

Ursula’s achievements include: Spokane Community College Dean's List, Fall 2017-present • Jenkins High School Honor Roll, Fall 2015-present • National Honor Society Member, Spring 2017-present • Varsity Letters in Cheer, Band, and Theater, 2015-present • National Taekwondo Tournament, Medals in Forms. Sparring, Board Breaks • Rising Star Award for Theater, June 2017 • Best Beginning Female Actress, Spring 2016 • American Legion Girls Nation Senator • Jenkins High School Top 10 Student Award January 2018 • Member of Taekwondo Demo Team, 1st place at 2018 National Tournament
